Kitchen Installation in Barcelona: What the Timeline Looks Like
A kitchen fit is a sequence, not a single job. Knowing the order helps you plan deliveries and avoid the week-long gaps that make a project feel endless.
The usual sequence
For a standard flat-pack kitchen in an existing space, the order rarely changes.
- Day 1: strip out old units, cap services, check wall condition
- Day 2: assemble carcasses and set base units level
- Day 3: wall units, worktop template or cut, sink and tap
- Day 4: doors, drawers, appliance fitting and alignment
- Day 5: splashback, sealing, handles and snagging
Where projects stall
Almost always on missing parts or a worktop that arrives late. Order everything before day one and check the delivery against the parts list the day it lands, not the day it is needed.
Old buildings, extra steps
In pre-1960 buildings expect to level floors and pack out walls. It adds time but it is what keeps doors aligned a year later.
